Thanksgiving = RESTFULNESS

When you are thankful about anything and everything the rest of mind, spirit and soul is the result.

Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (Amplified):  Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstance may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

 Isn’t that a great way to live?

By being thankful in anything and everything…NO MATTER WHAT… is God’s Will for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

There is such complete and utter rest in that.

When we live a life of thankfulness, in other words having an attitude of thankfulness and gratefulness, we acknowledge the One who holds us in His hands.

No excuse for worry, is it?

Thankfulness in everything means giving up our claim to our circumstances, whatever they may be.

I love how God can use both the great times and the tumultuous times for our good. Just like you, I’ve seen some incredible times, but I have also experienced the gut wrenching tumultuous times. I have experienced deep depression, rejection, a health scare, the death of my earthly father, and the death of a newborn, but also the high mountaintop experiences of God’s great depth and majesty.

In all times the one thing that remains the same is: God is always beside me. Always!

All I have to do, in either the good or the bad times, is reach out and grab hold of God.

There is rest in that!
          There is gratefulness in that!
                     There is life in that!
                               We don’t have to do this life alone!
                                                           Ever!

Honestly, should we have just one day to celebrate Thanksgiving?  Oh, no! Every day is a celebration of thanksgiving. We just have to know it, live it, and spread it:  Be thankful in everything, every day, in every way, that is God’s will for those who know His Son, Jesus!

Live gratefully!

Live Jesus!
